Florida-based Air Pros USA is teaming up with Louisiana-based Doug’s Service Company to amplify their appreciation for legendary teachers and teacher’s assistants working in Broward County, Florida, and Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. These educators ensure that all their students have the necessary supplies and resources to enhance their learning potential. Air Pros USA’s APPLE initiative aims to draw attention to the incredible efforts of all teachers and help legendary educators upgrade their classrooms.

Winners must be current teachers or teacher’s assistants for the 2024/25 school year working at a public school within Broward County, Florida, or Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The deadline to submit a nomination is August 9, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. ET.  

One winner who is teaching at a public school in Broward County, Florida, will be selected by Air Pros USA and announced on Air Pros USA’s website or Facebook page no later than September 30, 2024. 

Air Pros USA and its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company, will select one winner who is teaching at a public school in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, and announce the winner on Doug’s Service Company’s website or Facebook page no later than September 30, 2024.

Note: Winners must be willing to participate in any media interviews or publicity. Nominees must grant Air Pros USA, Doug’s Service Company, and/or its designated affiliate an irrevocable royalty-free license to use, exploit, and publish Nominees’ name, image, approved biographical information, and likeness in all media with regard to the Giveaway and further agree to execute any and all documents reasonable requested by Air Pros USA and Doug’s Service Company for purposes of lawfully establishing such license.

Official Rules:

Air Pros USA’s APPLE initiative (“Contest”) is sponsored by Air Pros USA Residential  Air Conditioning Services (“Air Pros USA” or “Company”) and supported by Doug’s Service Company. This contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the promotion, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Air Pros USA, in its sole and exclusive discretion, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

Eligibility:

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and are current teachers or teachers’ assistants working in Broward County, Florida or Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.  In addition to all other eligibility requirements, eligible contestants must have internet access and a valid and verifiable e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Contest Period. Air Pros USA and its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company, have the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant, including requesting verification of employment as a teacher or teachers assistant. Employees and their families of Air Pros USA and its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company, are not eligible to enter or win. Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. 

Contest Period:

The Contest begins Monday, July 22, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. ET and ends Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

How to Enter:

Contestants can enter the Contest through a form on the Air Pros USA website and are eligible to receive a one-time payment of $2,500 from Air Pros USA or its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company. Anyone can submit a nomination and self-nominations are accepted.

Submission Period:

Visit the entry page located on the Air Pros USA website and follow the instructions to submit a nomination that describes why the nominee should receive a $2,500 payment for school supplies. The submission period is open from begins Monday, July 22, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. ET and ends Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Air Pros USA, in its sole and exclusive discretion, will determine the eligibility of each submission to determine the finalists with input from its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company. Finalists will be selected based on criteria including completion of a nomination form which requires the name of the teacher or teacher’s assistant, the school they teach in Broward County, Florida or Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, and an explanation of why they should be selected, as well as their availability to be contacted by Air Pros USA to confirm eligibility.

There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner in Florida and one (1) Grand Prize winner in Louisiana. The winner teaching in Broward County will be selected by Air Pros USA and announced on Air Pros USA website/Facebook page by September 30, 2024. The winner teaching in either Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, will be selected by Air Pros USA and its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company, and announced on Doug’s Service Company website/Facebook page by September 30, 2024. 

Air Pros USA reserves the right to extend, shorten, or terminate the Contest at their sole discretion. If no finalists meet all the requirements, Air Pros USA reserves the right to forgo selecting a winner in that region.

Winner Selection & Prizes

For Air Pros USA’s 2024 Air Pros Powering Legendary Educators (APPLE) Initiative promotion, Air Pros USA will award one (1) Grand Prize to one (1) winner in Broward County, Florida, and one (1) Grand Prize to one (1) winner in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. Each Grand Prize will not exceed $2,500 to be used for school supplies for students. The payment will be presented to the winning teacher according to the availability of the school, the teacher, Air Pros USA, and Doug’s Service Company. Air Pros USA makes no representations or warranties, express or implied as part of the Grand Prize.

Participants do not need to be present to win, and the winner will be contacted in person, via phone or email. In the event the winner cannot be reached and/or does not respond within a 72-hour period of time from the time of initial outreach, they forfeit the prize and a new winner shall be selected to receive the prize. In the event that no winners claim the grand prize in either state pursuant to the Air Pros rules and regulations (including but not limited to any and all eligibility requirements), the grand prizes will be donated at the discretion of Air Pros USA.

Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS - Prize is non-transferable. No substitution of prizes is permitted.

Indemnification and Limitation of Liability

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Air Pros USA, Doug’s Service Company, the Facebook platform, administrator, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant’s participation in the Contest, the rights of publicity associated therewith, and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Air Pros USA disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or the download of information or materials connected with the Contest.

Taxes

Subject to IRS and other tax reporting. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize(s) and paying any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided for in the official rules. Each winner must provide the Company with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number, in the manner provided and/or requested by the Company, before any prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from the Company will receive an IRS Form 1099 after the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.

Publicity

By participating, each entrant grants Air Pros USA and its subsidiary, Doug’s Service Company, permission to use his/her name, likeness, business name or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
