Fan
While the indoor air handler is tasked with chilling inside areas of the home, the outside condensing unit which contains the fan (and motor assembly) is used to vent the warm air emanating off compressed refrigerant to the outdoors.
Fan Operations
If you were to walk outside and look down at your compressor you would see a fan motor encased in the top portion of the condensing unit with rotating blades. This fan blows air through the coil which eventually is expelled to the surrounding environment as warm air. It plays an essential role in the cooling and heating exchange process inside any air conditioner unit.
